Missouri’s food stamps benefits extended through August

The maximum food stamp benefits have been extended through August by the Department of Social Services, according to the KY3.

The extension would allow households on food stamps automatically get the maximum Food Stamp/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. The maximum benefit is based on household size.

Households on food stamps increased by almost 50% during the pandemic.

Currently, 373,000 households rely on food stamps, and 777,000 feed on it in Missouri.
