Springfield mayoral candidates Ken McClure and Kristi Fulnecky went head-to-head Thursday night on issues ranging from whether Springfield should have a lobbyist in Jefferson City to how City Council should have responded to an ACLU lawsuit over panhandling restrictions.
This election, essentially all candidates have focused on public safety and economic development as their top priorities. Many agree that Springfield needs more police officers on the streets and more, higher-paying jobs, even if they have different views on that should be achieved.
The City Council election will be April 4.
