Wagner sets personal fundraising record as Senate speculation swirls

Rep. Ann Wagner’s fundraising topped $800,000 for the first three months of this year, a strong showing for the Ballwin Republican as jostling begins for the 2018 senate race.

Wagner also spent about $200,000 over the first quarter, bringing her total cash on hand to nearly $2.8 million.

But her potential candidacy hit a snag earlier this week when prominent Missouri Republicans circulated a letter instead urging Attorney General Josh Hawley to run for Senate.
