Starting his first full week in office on Monday, Gov. Mike Parson said he has no plans to replace any members of the Cabinet assembled by his predecessor, former Gov. Eric Greitens.
“Gov. Greitens brought together a good team to the state of Missouri,” Parson said.
Also Monday, the Republican governor prepared for meetings with the Democratic leaders of the state’s two largest cities. He was slated to meet with Kansas City Mayor Sly James and the bipartisan group Missouri Mayors United for Progress on Tuesday. He’s set to meet with St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson soon.
“We want to learn about what their issues are both in St. Louis and Kansas City, we’re bringing a coalition of mayors in actually,” Parson said.
