Criminal indictments filed in Table Rock duck boat accident

Federal prosecutors on Thursday announced criminal charges against the captain of the duck boat that sank on Table Rock Lake in July, killing 17 people.

Kenneth Scott McKee of Mount Vernon faces multiple criminal counts for each of the 17 passengers that died in the accident.

Officials say McKee, 51, was operating the amphibious vessel when it sank during a storm on the lake.

For each passenger that died, a grand jury indicted McKee on misconduct, negligence, or inattention to duty by a ship’s officer, resulting in the death of another.
