WellSky, a company based in Lenexa, Kansas, that makes software to help health care providers manage patient care, has acquired Consolo Services Group, a health care software company based in Lexington, Kentucky.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
WellSky management hailed the acquisition as a move that will strengthen the company’s position supplying technology to providers of post-acute care.
“By combining our expertise in hospice software and services, WellSky Hospice and Consolo will enhance the experiences for our customers across both companies,” WellSky CEO Bill Miller said in a release.
Consolo will keep its Kentucky headquarters and continue under the leadership of CEO Greg Kite, according to the release.
The acquisition is expected to add 100 employees for WellSky, the Kansas City Business Journal reports.
WellSky has made five acquisitions and added more than 400 employees in the last year, according to the Business Journal.
WellSky, which until September was known as Mediware Information Systems, is owned by TPG Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. Consolo was a portfolio company of Bluff Point Associates, a private equity firm based in Connecticut.
