Three UM System schools look to increase price of food, housing

A University of Missouri System Board of Curators committee on Monday approved raising prices of food and housing on the system’s Kansas City, St. Louis and Rolla campuses. The three universities will increase prices by approximately 2 percent each.

The University of Missouri campus in Columbia will decrease room and board rates by 1.8 percent, following curator approval in November. University officials say the price decrease is meant to attract prospective students to the campus in Columbia.

The entire board of curators is expected to finalize the rate increases during a meeting on Feb. 7.
