Burns & McDonnell looks to double Chicago workforce

Kansas City-based engineering and architecture firm Burns & McDonnell plans to double the size of its Chicago workforce within three years. The 7,000-employee global company will hire about 300 professionals in the area, the company said in a news release

The Chicago growth is part of the firm’s larger plan to hire more than 1,000 employees each year. 

Ranked as one of the Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, Burns & McDonnell specializes in engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting. The firm has two offices already in the Chicago region.
