Food Trucks Coming to Maplewood — For Now

Food trucks could soon make their way to Maplewood — on a trial basis and just in time for the colder months.

City officials on Tuesday night agreed to give the trucks a chance after rejecting them earlier this year for fear they would hurt brick-and-mortar eateries.

Councilman Tim Dunn proposed a six-month trial for the trucks, but he wants to prohibit them from operating on Manchester Road and Sutton Boulevard. He also suggested the trucks not be allowed at events sponsored by the city or the Chamber of Commerce.
