The typical Missouri household earned less last year than they have in almost two decades, according to new figures out today from the Census Bureau.
Median household income – the point at which half of households earn more and half earn less – fell 3.2 percent in Missouri in 2011, to $45,774. Adjusted for inflation, that’s the lowest figure since 1994. Nationally, income fell 1.5 percent, to $50,054, its lowest since 1996. Read more on St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
