CVS plans to hire 50,000 new employees across the U.S. in response to an increase in patients and customers due to the coronavirus, the company announced Monday. The pharmacy chain said the new hires will fill roles ranging from store associates to home delivery drivers.
Rhode Island-based CVS lists 142 stores in Missouri.
The company also said it will provide bonuses ranging from $150 to $500 to employees who are required to be at CVS facilities to assist customers.
“We’re taking extra steps to provide some peace of mind and help them navigate these uncertain times,” CVS Health President and CEO Larry Merlo said in a press release.
