Ford is delaying the planned restart of production at its Kansas City Assembly Plant and other factories across North America, the company announced Tuesday.
The carmaker cited worker health concerns in deciding to push back a reopening that was originally scheduled for April 14.
The company temporarily shuttered its North American factories March 18 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ford’s Kansas City plant produces the F-150 pickup truck and Transit van. The factory employs nearly 7,300 people.
One Ford facility will reopen later this month: a Michigan plant that will help produce ventilators.
