The symposium will feature pitches by teams of master’s students from the University of Missouri’s journalism and business schools. Those teams have spent the semester working on consulting projects to address challenges facing media companies, culminating in the competitive pitch event.
Three teams will present Friday, pitching projects to the Associated Press, MuckRock and the Wall Street Journal.
Judges for the event are Ashley Gangloff, a management professor at MU; Robert Jones, a doctoral student in journalism at MU; Maria Lusardi, founder of Industrial Marketers; and Tom Rose, owner of Rolling Hills Veterinary Hospital.
