BeLeaf Medical and Archimedes Medical Holdings got permission to grow marijuana after passing inspections by the state health department, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
BeLeaf is located in Earth City, in the St. Louis area, and Archmides is in Perryville, in southeast Missouri.
The inspection is the final step for a facility to receive approval to operate in the state.
About 60 facilities are expected to grow commercial marijuana in Missouri. Sales of medical marijuana were expected to begin this summer before facility inspections were delayed due to the coronavirus.
BeLeaf plans to begin selling wholesale marijuana to dispensaries in late 2020.
Missouri has issued licenses to at least 25,000 people who applied to use marijuana for medical purposes.
