Left Bank Books in St Louis will no longer carry any of J.K. Rowling’s books, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The store is known for its activism and will remove her books because of comments she made regarding transgendered people.
Rowling authored the Harry Potter series, as well as several adult mystery novels that were published under a different name. Rowling has since released a statement defending her comments on transgender rights and activism.
Left Bank, where one of the owners is transgender, still sees her comments as discriminatory.
