Missouri is one of the cheapest states for purchasing a home

Missouri is ranked as the 8th cheapest state to buy a home in a recent study, the Kansas City Business Journal reports.

It has the seventh-lowest median listing price ($186,000) and the eighth-lowest median listing price per square foot ($120).

Kansas ranked 13th overall with the sixth-lowest median listing price ($186,000) and ties with Missouri for the median listing price per square.

West Virginia ranked first on the list. Other top cheapest states include Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi.
