United Airlines has announced that all customers will be required to wear masks in airports, the Kansas City Star reports. Any who break this rule may temporarily be unable to fly with the airline until the mask restriction is lifted.
This new rule goes into effect July 24 and applies to all 360 airports from which United flies.
Passengers under two will be exempt, and any others seeking exemption must contact United for approval.
Signs will be posted to remind travelers of the requirement, and free masks provided to those that need them. Those that continue to refuse may be placed on an “internal travel restriction list” with United.
