Lambert Airport Delays Decision on Raising Fees

Short-term parking rates at the two primary garages at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport will stay put – for now. The Airport Authority on Wednesday also put on hold a separate plan to increase fees it charges hotel shuttles, private parking facilities, taxicabs, charter buses and limousine companies.
The proposal would have effectively doubles the price to park in one of the garages during the first hour. The proposal called for a flat $5 for each two-hour increment – or any fraction of that time. It now costs $2.50 an hour.
The Airport Authority wants to answer questions raised and hopes to reconsider the parking rate increases before the end of the year. The new parking rates were expected to generate an additional $1.5 million a year. Read more on St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
