IT Club Plans a Google Fiber ‘Hackathon’

Area information technology folks are planning a “hackathon” in Google Fiber’s Kansas City office to see how many web or mobile apps they can develop for the 1-gigabit network in a 24-hour period.

KC IT Professionals, a 9,000-member group, will run the hackathon on Nov. 10. The idea is to put entrepreneurial minds together in a room to see what they can create using Google’s ultra-fast network.
