Missouri community colleges will invest $15 million in a statewide training network called MOManufacturingWINS, Gov. Jay Nixon announced Monday. The network will help residents get training to start careers in manufacturing.
Through the Missouri Community College Association, nine two-year colleges will help students get industry-recognized credentials in five areas: production, industrial maintenance, welding, machining, and transportation and logistics. The training model is endorsed by the National Association of Manufacturers.
