And Dan Hesse will keep his job as chief executive.But Sprint’s buyer will expect to direct where and how Sprint uses the $8 billion in fresh funds coming from the land of the Rising Sun. And that means its 55-year-old founder and chief executive, Masayoshi Son rules.Hesse will still do much of what he’s been doing. He’ll be leading the company’s expensive network upgrade, mulling over how well the iPhone is bringing in new subscribers, weighing advertising budgets, and all the many other facets of a $35 billion business.
