St. Louis Ranks Third Slowest Growing City

St. Louis ranked as the third-slowest-growing city by percentage change in population from 2010 to 2011, according to a Bloomberg Rankings analysis of cities with more than 300,000 residents. St. Louis was the only Missouri city included in the list.

St. Louis lost 0.38 percent of its population, or 1,225 people, and ended 2011 with 318,069 residents. As of August 2012, unemployment was 7.8 percent, and the foreclosure rate was 0.33 percent per housing unit, according to Bloomberg. Read more on St. Louis Business Journal.
