Perficient Profits Increase 48 Percent in Q3

IT consulting firm Perficient Inc. reported net income of $5.1 million for the third quarter, an increase of 48 percent compared to $3.5 million in net income for the same quarter in the previous year.

The St. Louis-based company reported revenue of $87.5 million in the quarter, ended Sept. 30, which was an increase of 25 percent compared to the $70.2 million in revenue Perficient reported for the third quarter in 2011.

The consulting company said it performed follow-up projects for leading companies and added several new customers in the quarter, including Best Buy, Green Dot, Roche Diagnostics, Ameritas Holding Company and others.

Perficient expects to grow revenue in the fourth quarter by 18 percent compared to last year is projecting full year earnings per share between $0.91 to $0.95.
