October brought another off month for Kansas City riverboat casinos, with Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa bearing the brunt.

The month’s decline decline outpaces Argosy’s drops in September and August, and makes the ninth straight month in which Argosy has had the largest percentage revenue drop among the local Missouri casinos. The casino is run by Penn National Gaming Inc. (Nasdaq: PENN), which also runs the new Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.

Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City, which has the largest market share, recorded an 11.9 percent revenue decline to $17.36 million. Its patron count fell by a small 1.2 percent to 266,800.
