Table game revenue rose an astounding 745 percent last month at the River City Casino in St. Louis compared with October last year.
This may seem like huge growth for the casino, but really it’s just making up for lost revenue in October 2011. The explanation is simple.
In October 2011, gamblers won big at River City’s craps tables, so big that the casino in Lemay lost more than $1 million in just two days. Casino officials declined to identify the big winners but word was that they were Texas Rangers fans in St. Louis for World Series games with the Cardinals. One suggestion was that the biggest winner was a musician from Beaumont, Texas. Efforts to reach him for comment failed.
