Missouri to Get $2 Million in GSK’s Avandia Settlement

Missouri will receive more than $2 million as part of a $90 million settlement between 37 states and GlaxoSmithKline related to the marketing of its diabetes drug Avandia.

According to Attorney General Chris Koster, a consent judgment with GSK settles allegations that the pharmaceutical company misrepresented Avandia’s cardiovascular risks and safety profile.
