The Kansas Bioscience Authority has named Duane Cantrell as its new permanent CEO.
Cantrell, a former Payless ShoeSource president who now is a business consultant, won unanimous approval from the KBA board during its Tuesday meeting. The KBA is a state-financed agency that promotes and invests in Kansas’ bioscience industry.
There was little discussion about Cantrell’s appointment as CEO, which is effective immediately. He replaces interim CEO David Vranicar as the KBA’s top executive.
