Sequoia Lands $1.5 Million from St. Louis Investors

Sequoia Sciences, an early stage pharmaceutical company based in Overland, Mo., has raised $1.5 million from two local investment firms.

The investors are Prolog Ventures and Holton Capital, both based in Clayton. The money will help Sequoia move one of its most promising drugs, a vaccine to treat and prevent urinary tract infections, into phase one clinical trials in January.
