Nine conventions are coming to Kansas City in the next five years, bringing almost $16 million to the local economy.
New locations, including the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and Livestrong Sporting Park, and amenities such as Google Fiber have attracted new events.
The Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association announced the new conventions on Friday.
“There are very few cities that are as progressively advanced in technology as KC,” Christine Soffel, founder and CEO of Sports & Entertainment Alliance in Technology, said in a release. Read more on Kansas City Business Journal.
