St. Louis Home Sellers Nip Asking Prices

Talk of a rebound in the housing market isn’t making St. Louis home sellers greedy.Homeowners actually lowered their asking prices by 0.1 percent during the three months ended in November, according to the real estate website Trulia. November asking prices were up 1.7 percent from a year earlier.

Asking rents rose 1.2 percent over the year in the metro area, Trulia said. Trulia says asking prices can foretell the direction of sale prices a few months hence.
