Kauffman Foundation Chooses McLean as CIO

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation on Tuesday announced that Mary McLean will be its new chief investment officer, effective immediately.

McLean will lead a team that oversees the foundation’s $1.8 billion portfolio, after previously being the foundation’s managing director of investments.

“Mary has done an outstanding job overseeing the foundation’s portfolio, so electing her to lead the investment team is a natural step for us. We are fortunate to have her combination of investment experience and knowledge of the foundation’s history,” Tom McDonnell, who will become CEO of the foundation Jan. 1, said in a release.
