Ralcorp CEO’s Golden Parachute Worth Millions

Ralcorp Chief Executive Kevin Hunt can collect a $2.5 million retention bonus if he stays for a year after the company is bought by ConAgra Foods, but he can collect more than twice as much if he leaves. Either way, he’ll cash out $21.4 million worth of stock and options.

The St. Louis-based food company with some 9,000 employees disclosed the compensation arrangements in a preliminary proxy statement, which also gives a detailed account of how ConAgra wooed Ralcorp.
