Missouri Minimum Wage Increases Rises Ten Cents

The minimum wage in Missouri rises to $7.35 an hour on Jan. 1 because of a cost-of-living adjustment built into the state’s wage law. The federal minimum wage will stay at $7.25 an hour next year. The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations estimates that the wage increase will add about $200 a year to the income of a fulltime minimum wage worker.

According to different reports, between 72,000 and 1.4 million workers in the state are expected to benefit from the raise.
