Dairy Farmers of America Inc. has agreed to a $158.6 million settlement over allegations that it conspired to fix the price of milk in the southeastern United States. The agreement, reached Tuesday, was the third and final settlement in an antitrust case that was brought several years ago by about 7,000 dairy farmers across 14 states.

DFA, a national marketing cooperative, denied any wrongdoing in the case. It said the payment will not affect its day-to-day operations or its marketing programs.
