Ralcorp Settles Legal Challenges to ConAgra Deal

Ralcorp Holdings Inc. has settled seven legal challenges to its acquisition by ConAgra Foods in a deal worth $6.8 billion.

According to a regulatory filing, the private-label food maker agreed to file amended and supplemental disclosures with the Securities and Exchange Commission concerning the proposed merger, which was announced Nov. 27.

Ralcorp shareholders are set to meet Tuesday, and the deal is expected to close by March 31. It will create one of the largest packaged food companies in North America, with annual sales of about $18 billion and more than 36,000 employees combined.
