Study Shows Outlook for Retail Development Improving in KC

Kansas City’s retail environment is reviving, according to a new report on area shopping centers.

Lane4 Property Group’s new “2013 Kansas City Retail Report” found the “logjam” breaking on several long-awaited developments. Class “A” retail space — described as having superior location, design, visibility, access, demographics and tenant mix —also is in strong demand.

The report concluded that most retailers are likely to wait for a great opportunity than to settle for a location that offers less than their ideal.
