KC Nuclear Weapons Parts Maker Begins Massive Move

What may be the biggest industrial move in America is under way. About 2,800 pieces of equipment, ranging from desk-size to as big as a tractor-trailer, will be transported over the next 19 months to the new Honeywell nuclear weapon parts complex on the south edge of Kansas City, an eight-mile trip. The upfront cost including construction, relocation and equipment is about $1 billion.
