A-B InBev Is Super Bowl’s Biggest Spender

With nearly $250 million spent on Super Bowl ads during the last 10 years, St. Louis-based A-B InBev took the top spot on a list of the past decade’s five biggest Super Bowl advertisers.

A-B InBev outspent Pepsico, the next largest Super Bowl advertiser, by $65 million, and outstripped the combined spending of the remaining top five advertisers — Walt Disney Co., General Motors Corp., and Coca-Cola — by nearly $50 million.  The report, released by Kantar Media, a New York-based marketing firm, calculated that the Super Bowl generated a total $1.62 billion in network advertising revenue from 2001 to 2010.
