Boeing Reports Income Dip, Expects No Big Fiscal Hit From 787

The Boeing Co. reported net income for the fiscal year 2012 of $3.90 billion, down 3 percent compared to 2011.

The company reported revenue of $81.7 billion for 2012, up 19 percent from 2011.
Boeing noted in its earnings report that it expects “no significant financial impact” from the Federal Aviation Administration’s directive to ground all 787 Dreamliners operated by U.S. carriers

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security segment, based in Hazelwood, reported full-year revenue of $32.61 billion, up 2 percent from 2011, with an operating margin of 9.4 percent for 2012. The company expects operating margins in its Defense, Space & Security segment of more than 9 percent for 2013.
