Frontier Airlines posted on its website that service between Columbia and Orlando, Fla. would be discontinued after May 13, and officials at Columbia Regional Airport are trying to figure out why.
A notice on the airport’s website says officials are trying to get an official statement from Frontier about the decision.
Frontier began service between Columbia and Orlando in November. Just last week, the Columbia Missourian reported Frontier was adding a third weekly flight from Columbia to Orlando.
The announcement follows closely on the heels of other changes at the Columbia airport. American Airlines started flying out of the airport on Thursday, one day after Delta discontinued its service there.
