Ford Motor Co.’s Kansas City-produced F-Series pickup has helped the company hit a six-year high in February sales.
Ford’s overall sales rose 9 percent in February, when the company sold 195,822 vehicles. The F-Series pickup contributed to that profit, rounding out the month with 54,489 pickups sold – a 15-percent increase from last year and the best February totals since 2007. The F-Series is manufactured at Ford’s Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo.
The company said Monday that it will be increasing production in its second quarter, building 800,000 total vehicles.
