YP Holdings, which operates Yellow Pages, plans to lay off 120 employees in St. Louis this year.

Tucker, Ga.-based YP notified the state of Missouri of the layoffs in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice. According to YP, the job cuts will occur between May and August.

The cuts are part of a larger layoff plan that includes 80 more in Dallas, according to Mark Franken, area director of the Communications Workers of America District 6 in Austin, Texas. Franken said that many of the affected employees were notified of the looming job cuts in November. He said several hundred other jobs are also being cut nationwide.
