Minimum-Wage Workers Decline In Missouri, Kansas

Kansas and Missouri saw a decline in the number of hourly workers making exactly or less than the federal minimum wage, according to the latest government figures. Of the more than 1.5 million hourly workers in Missouri, about 6.3 percent, or 96,894 workers, made exactly minimum wage or less. In 2011, about 7.1 percent, or 109,000, made at or less than the minimum wage.
