Institute Report: Missourians Among Top 20 In Beer Drinking

Missourians of legal drinking age downed an average of 31.1 gallons of beer each in 2011, ranking 19th in the nation and several spots ahead of Kansas, according to a new report from the Beer Institute. In Missouri, 19.2 percent of adults admitted to binge drinking. Beer shipments from the 51 active breweries in the state were down 1 percent since 2003 to 4.34 million barrels.
