Judge Approves Second Delay In Case Against A-B InBev Merger With Modelo

A judge in the government’s antitrust case seeking to block Anheuser-Busch InBev’s purchase of Grupo Modelo has approved a request to delay the case through April 9.

The parties in the case asked for more time to discuss a settlement that would allow the proposed merger to move forward. A note from analysts following the case said the delay is a “very promising” sign that the merger will be approved.
