Centene Completes Purchase Of AcariaHealth

Clayton-based managed care provider Centene has completed its purchase of AcariaHealth, one of the nation’s largest specialty pharmacy companies, from Enhanced Equity Funds, a New York-based private equity firm focused on health care investments.
The purchase, which was originally announced in January, was financed in three parts by Centene: by selling up to $15.3 million of its common stock to fund an escrow account, plus cash on hand, and a combination of nearly 1.7 million shares of its common stock.
