Commercial Leasing Up In St. Louis As Businesses Move In Or Renew

St. Louis saw more than 1 million square feet of commercial space leased in the first quarter of 2013, according to a report by Jones Lang LaSalle. Lease activity in St. Louis increased over 50 percent from the previous quarter, in large part due to area companies renewing leases, as well as several companies getting new leases in St. Louis.

Many companies, such as Panera Bread Company, New Balance and Equifax Work Solutions helped to boost the amount of commercial leasing in the city by leasing new office space. Companies such as Mercy, Patriot Coal and KMOV-TV also helped to increase the amount of space leased by renewing their existing leases.
