Mood Noticeably Better At Annual Builders/Developers Expo

With new homes popping up in subdivisions across Columbia after several years of sluggish activity, contractors and companies in the building and remodeling business gathered at the Mid-Missouri Home & Lifestyle Expo and expressed optimism about the housing market and economy in 2013. This year is off to a strong start. The city issued 97 single-family building permits through the first quarter, the most in those three months since 2007.
