Sprint Nextel said its board has formed a special committee to evaluate a $25.5 billion takeover bid from Dish Network, which is seeking to counter a $20.1 billion offer from SoftBank that Sprint agreed to in October.

Larry Glasscock, James Hance, Janet Hill, William Nuti and Rodney O’Neal will serve on the committee for Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint.
