Olin Profits Rise In First Quarter On Civilian Ammo Sales

Olin Corp. saw a 5 percent increase in first quarter profits as stronger civilian ammunition sales offset weaker chemical sales for the Clayton-based company.

The maker of ammunition and chlorine reported a net income of $40.5 million, or 50 cents a share, compared with $38.7 million, or 48 cents a share, a year earlier.
